PORTRAIT SKETCH | John Lennon

This portrait was started in 2013, and the ideas I had for it were hard to get on paper. With all of the hardships and horrible things going on in the world today, I have often gone back to this portrait with the hopes of creating something meaningful and profound. 

It's hard not to wear your heart on your sleeve when you are an artist. It's a scary thing, putting your thoughts and emotions out there. I think that is why, in the past, I have not finished most of my work. I have been scared of what people may think or say, and I put my walls up and just retreated back into the comfort of my own little world.
