A GALAXY RENDERING and QUOTE | Hand Lettering

Once of my artistic goals this year is to use more color. I have been loving watercolors the more that I use them and am quite excited about the range of saturation and gradients that they give. A great way to explore watercolors is to practice making galaxies, something I am having a lot of fun doing!

I decided to do some hand lettering of one of my favorite quotes from Ray Bradbury with a galaxy background.

Materials used: watercolor paint, watercolor paper, acrylic paint 

Methods used: Wet on wet watercolor painting, dry brushing, blotting with paper towels, freehand lettering and paint splattering
